Members Advisory Group:

On September 2nd, CBFWA staff provided a briefing to the Members and in response the Members directed that the MAG continue the development of the CBFWA 2010-2014 work plan. The general strategy agreed to during the September 2, 2009 Members meeting is for the Members to adopt high level policy directives that will guide the work of CBFWA over the next six months.  The MAG will then implement a work plan based on deliverables and tasks that are consistent with those policy directives.  Following implementation of those policies, a report to the Members will be provided and modifications to the operations will be made if necessary.

To complete the work assigned by the Members, a two day MAG workshop has been arranged.  The agenda is attached.  The first day of the workshop will be the regularly scheduled September MAG meeting extended to 5:00 p.m.  The workshop is scheduled to continue the next morning at 8:00 a.m. and concluding at 12:00 p.m.

Attached please find a memo providing greater detail on the tasks at hand.  CBFWA staff has provided the attached discussion drafts of a draft work plan showing the three different levels of detail:  policy areas, deliverables, and tasks.  Additional materials will be sent prior to the workshop.  The Members are being asked to review the questions in each policy area and provide feedback to Tom Iverson by September 14, 2009.  Tom will rephrase the questions based on the Members' responses.  The updated questions will be provided to the MAG on September 15 in order to guide development of collective statements to define policy directives.  MAG members are asked to please be prepared to provide responses to the questions during the September 21&22 workshop.

Face to face attendance is welcome and encouraged; however, WebEx has been arranged.
